Our candles are crafted to elevate your space and create an intentional atmosphere. Proper care ensures a clean, even burn and helps you enjoy every moment safely.

First Burn Matters

The first burn sets the tone for the life of your candle.

  • Allow the candle to burn until the entire surface of wax melts edge to edge.
  • This usually takes 2–3 hours, depending on size.
  • This prevents tunneling and promotes an even burn going forward.

Never blow out a candle before a full melt pool forms on the first burn.

Wick Care

Proper wick maintenance ensures a clean flame and minimizes soot.

  • Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn.
  • If the flame becomes too large, flickering, or smoky, extinguish the candle and trim the wick.
  • Always remove excess wick trimmings from the wax before relighting.

Burn Time Guidelines

For best performance:

  • Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Allow the candle to cool completely before relighting.
  • This helps preserve fragrance quality and prevents overheating the vessel.

Candle Placement

Where you place your candle matters.

  • Always burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  • Keep away from drafts, vents, fans, or open windows.
  • Avoid placing near flammable objects such as curtains or paper.

Safety First

Candles should always be enjoyed responsibly.

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Do not move the candle while hot or while wax is liquid.
  • Stop burning when ½ inch of wax remains.

Discontinue use if the container becomes cracked, excessively hot, or damaged.

Soot & Smoke Prevention

If you notice soot:

  • Trim the wick shorter.
  • Reduce burn time.
  • Ensure the candle is not exposed to drafts.

Proper care significantly reduces soot buildup.

Extinguishing Your Candle

For a clean finish:

  • Use a candle snuffer when possible.
  • Avoid blowing directly into the flame, as this can cause smoke and wax splatter.
  • Ensure the wick is centered after extinguishing.

Storage Tips

When not in use:

  • Store candles in a cool, dry place.
  • Avoid direct sunlight to preserve scent and wax color.
  • Keep the lid on when available to protect from dust.
